What to Expect
This award develops the skills required to paddle confidently in open-water environments. Participants will learn how to handle wind, swell, chop, and longer journeys while developing strong decision-making, navigation awareness, and safety skills.

What to Bring
- Weather-appropriate clothing suitable for open-water conditions
- Windproof jacket
- Water bottle and snacks
- Sunhat, sunglasses (with strap), and sunscreen
- Communication device and hydration system (recommended)
