Advanced performance, phenomenal comfort, and cutting-edge design. These elements define
the all-new Gen 4 V10. As Epic’s legacy surfski model, the V10 continues to evolve and make
waves around the world. With that spirit of evolution and continued innovation, we have created
a unique, nimble boat for advanced/intermediate skilled paddlers that doesn’t require elite level
stability.
The Epic V10 ignited a revolution in surfski design when introduced in 2005 and the latest
model continues the legendary performance on the water thanks to trailblazing R&D and two
decades of experience in the rapidly evolving world of ocean surfski racing. The Gen 1 V10 had
an unmatched combination of speed, stability and surfing performance, as well as the ingenious
Epic adjustable footboard. The Gen 2 V10 brought improved stability, ergonomics, and special
features like the Epic bailer and carry handles. Building on positive feedback and results from
the Epic V11 and V12, the Gen 3 V10 included more rocker, some bow rake, updated seat
ergonomics and an optimized cockpit position to make it turn on a dime; the waterline length
was slightly shortened for a better fit in steep waves.
The Gen 4 V10 builds on the Gen 3 enhancements by incorporating features of the latest Epic
V12 that paddlers rave about. Sharing the unique bow shape of the Gen 3 V12, the Gen 4 V10
surfs like a dream, rising up after slicing into a wave, and is less affected by cross winds. The
result is a more user-friendly model that allows more people to excel and experience the thrill of
surfski paddling. With the streamlined bow and increased rocker profile, the new V10 gives
the best downwind performance of the V10 series yet!
Stability has increased over previous V10 versions, giving you full confidence to apply power in
downwind conditions – essential for taking a powerful stroke and catching the wave of the day!
Upgraded seat ergonomics put the paddler in a more upright position while the lower hump
height allows more effective leg drive. The seat width is similar to the Gen 3 V10, giving just
enough hip room for those that need it, while still keeping you well-centered in the bucket.

Additional Facts About the Gen 4 V10
Seat fit is similar in width to Gen 3 V10; similar to the V11 bucket, the seat back is more
vertical, providing for a more upright posture, and the hump has been lowered further for
better leg drive and improved ergonomics.
Bow & stern handles are absent in keeping with the preference of advanced paddlers; the
bow handle can create unwanted spray in downwind conditions.
 Rudder shaft: 3-hole; 6 ¼” (15.8 cm)
Remounting will be similar or easier for some paddlers compared to other V10 models
due to increased stability. The sides are not as high as V11/V12 at the seat, making
remount easier than those models.
