    Just 15 minutes from downtown Auckland, your journey begins at Fergs Kayaks in Ōrākei, where you’ll meet your guide and enjoy a barista coffee, tea, or hot chocolate from our in-house café before heading out on the water

    A guided walk to the summit reveals fascinating insights into the island’s volcanic origins and cultural significance, before rewarding you with sweeping 360° views over Auckland, the Hauraki Gulf, and beyond. Rugged, beautiful, and steeped in history, Rangitoto is an essential Auckland experience where geology, culture, and breathtaking scenery meet.

    Rangitoto is a pest-free sanctuary, protecting rare native species and pristine landscapes. Please ensure all clothing, footwear, and gear are free from soil, seeds, and stowaway pests before your trip.
